What is Point of Sale?

When fully launched, Point of Sale will give you the tools to:

  • pick services to be paid for

  • run end of day settlement reporting and financial data exports

The first stage of this is Point of Sale Lite, which introduces an improved way for you to Complete your appointments in Connect. Now, you can:

3) Apply a discount to a checkout

Points to note

From an advertising and audit perspective, it's best practice to have a full price treatment menu (RRP) which are your agreed and advertised prices. Sometimes, you will want to discount your pricing. Within Connect you can set up Sale, Off Peak and Last Minute discounting, to apply savings to appointments booked via WahandaTreatwell. If you want to apply discounts to your clients, the next stage of Point of Sale (Lite) will allow you to record a saving, such as a percentage (%) or price reduction (-£) at the point of Completing an appointment. This will give you a correct End of Day report balancing your appointments, cash and card payments taken, products sold and discounts applied.

As a workaround, if you need to apply discounts to your direct appointments before the feature is released, we recommend you add new price ranges that aren't bookable on WahandaTreatwell, and when you add an appointment into your Calendar simply select the reduced price service.
