Welcome onboard!

As you’re new to Treatwell, we bet you have some burning questions about getting started and making the most of your listing. We’ve put together a few helpful FAQs and tips to get you off to a flying start.

I’ve signed up, what do I do now?

First things first, you need to check your venue page, making sure it’s typo-free and has everything a prospective customer might be looking for, including  your full address, great images, and your full treatment menu.  From this point, customers can book your services on Treatwell, so make sure your listing looks its best and all the info is accurate.

What is Connect and how do I use it?

Treatwell Connect is our free online tool that lets you manage your listing, amend your services, control your pricing, monitor your payments and more. You can log in anywhere, anytime, just by logging onto treatwell.co.uk and clicking Go To Connect. We also recommend you download our free App (available for both iOS and Android) so you can access Connect on the move. The Calendar in Connect is the heart of your listing; we display the white space in your diary to our customers, so you need to keep the Calendar up to date indicating when you're free to receive our bookings. You can do this either by adopting Connect as your main diary (ie moving away from pen and paper or by changing from your current salon software) or by running Connect alongisde your existing system.

How can I get my business noticed?

Reviews

Customers like to read reviews before they book, so use your 10 Review Request Emails (found in the Connect Homepage) to ask your regular clients to endorse you. Venues with 10 or more positive reviews receive twice as many bookings. We operate strict Community Guidelines, so if you receive an inappropriate review, report it and we’ll take a look. You’ve also got the right to reply to all reviews so a quick comment can show the Community you care.

Images

Add some inspiring images that really showcase your venue and give customers a flavour of what to expect when they visit you.  Not only do great images make your listing look more enticing, but they send more bookings your way. How can I increase bookings?

Real Time Availability

Real Time Availability means accurate and live availability. When we sort our search results on site we showcase venues with real time availability near the top, to make sure customers can always find an appointment. If you use Connect fully to keep your diary up to date, we know we have live availability for you so you’ll get great exposure and lots of bookings. What’s more, we’ll only send you appointments when you want them, in your empty space. There are 2 ways to achieve Real Time Availability; either use the Calendar as your main diary, entering all your own client appointment (for free!), or Block the times when you have clients, so we know you're busy.

Last minute availability

We’ve found that opening up late availability for appointments has increased some venues’ bookings by up to 40%, as many customers search for last minute appointments. By lowering your lead-time (in Connect Settings, Online Bookings you can do the same. Venues with No Closeout will sell best as they benefit from truly last minute bookings.

Smart Pricing

This is your tool to manage your pricing according to availability, and to use discounts to drive customers into your off peak times, and to fill last minute appointments about to go un-filled. Professional Listing

Connect Professional (Pro) is our upgraded listing, offering additional marketing support including a leg up the search rankings, meaning it's a sure fire way of getting more exposure and bookings. Contact the Account Management Team to find out more.

How does payment work?

When booking on Treatwell, customers can select whether they want to pre-pay for the treatment on our site, or whether they prefer to pay you direct at the venue. If a customer pays on Treatwell, we transfer the payment to you (minus our commission). With appointments, this is automatic as we know the date of the treatment but for eVouchers, you need to Redeem the voucher in Connect.  You'll receive Invoice Statements from us on the 1st and 16th of each month (or a few days after if they're a Saturday or Sunday), detailing the amount we owe you, the amount you owe us, and the final balance either to be paid to you by us, or vice versa. Payment from Treatwell, if due, will follow within 5 days from the statement.
